Fees
Specialized tests and treatments, as in human medicine, are more expensive than in general practice, but may be less costly in the long run.
Fees are based on the time, skills, equipment, medication and supplies required for each case. Estimates are provided to clients prior to treatment, and full discussion of the charges is encouraged. Initial deposits may be required. Fees are due when services are performed and are payable by cash, check or acceptable credit cards.
Appointments
Appointments are accepted by a referral from your regular Veterinarian only. Consultation and a thorough physical exam will be performed during the appointment time. Recommendations, diagnostic tests, and fees will be discussed with you at this time.
The average appointment requires 45-60 minutes. Most diagnostic procedures require leaving your pet for the day, or may require hospitalization. Normal discharge time is between 4-5pm, the doctor will meet with you and discuss the results of the workup. As with critical care facilities, occasional delays can occur due to emergency situations with pets of others. We thank you for your patience and understanding should this occur.
Due to OSHA regulations, you will not be able to be with your pet during procedures. We hope that you understand that this policy is in place for your safety.
Please bring pets medical records, labwork, and xrays with you for the appointment. Records and labwork may be faxed, but xrays must be brought with you. Do not feed the animal after 10pm the night before, water and medication may be given.
If your pet is a diabetic, please let the receptionist know when you make your appointment. There may be different instructions you will need to follow. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Checks and Cash.
